It takes a unique sense of style to get noticed as a club DJ these days, so LA based DJ Kid Chameleon and his friend Terrence Scoville created this visualizer helmet from an old Apple Macintosh Plus, a bicycle helmet, an iPad, and an electroluminescent display.
The whole shebang is controlled by a iMac running Resolume Avenue, a MIDI keyboard, with a Wiimote in there somewhere for good measure.
At 45 seconds into the video you can see the momentous occasion when he puts on the helmet for the first time, to the strains of the theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
